S2721DGF, panel buttons not working

Question

Good evening,

Today my new S2721DGF came in. When I first booted it up, I was unable to click in the joystick (page 37) to set it to English. After about an hour of trying to get it, it suddenly worked and I was able to select my input and use it for my laptop via HDMI.

After some time passes I try to press the buttons again to bring up the OSD Menu to play with some setting. Again I was unable to access the menu nor was able to do anything.

After messing with it some more I’ve been able to make it work one more time but since then nothing. It’s clearly an intermittent issue.

I am hoping someone has a solution for me or if I’m doing something wrong.

To anyone wanting an update,

Dell has issued me a replacement and it was supposed to arrive this week. After multiple confirmations with an agent, I was supposed to receive my replacement November 5th. Now today they’re telling me December 29th.

Terrible customer service and obviously no quality control going on over there.

Next time I will go to Best Buy and save myself the stress with dealing with Dell.
