S3220DGF, Nvidia GTX 770, refresh rate issues
Hello,
I just bought a Dell S3220DGF 32" Curved Monitor capable of 164Hz refresh rate. But, no matter what I do I can't push it beyond 60Hz!
I have a decent rig with an EVGA Nvidia GTX 770 video card and an i5 (6th Generation) and 16GB RAM running on Windows 7 Ultimate Edition.
I've updated all my drivers and have the latest drivers of Nvidia (April 3rd, 2020) and I still can't push the refresh rate on my monitor beyond 60Hz.
Help and thank you for your time and suggestions!
Cheers,
George

You are using a 2013 released Nvidia video card with an AMD FreeSync 2 monitor? Using that non-tested Nvidia video card, you can only get 60Hz.
The S3220DGF was marketed as an AMD FreeSync 2 monitor to be used with AMD FreeSync video cards. Using an AMD FreeSync video card in AMD FreeSync mode, the S3220DGF supports =
HDMI 48Hz to 144Hz
DP 48Hz to 164Hz
Policy: Dell AMD FreeSync monitors and Nvidia video cards

I think you need a GTX 10XX or an RTX 20XX, and a DisplayPort 1.4 cable to get 165Hz refresh rate. Your GTX 770 is way too old.
