SE2416H, VGA, input timing error

I have just got a desktop to work on, but when I put the vga cable in, and start the desktop, it is giving me this error

The current input timing is not supported by the monitor.  Please change your input timing to 1920x1080, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications

I cannot change the settings, as this is happening, when i start the desktop.

I also did try to get into the monitor osd menu, but no luck there,   if I press the buttons on the monitor, i only get up, down, ok, and enter, cannot get to osd menu.
