ST2220t touch screen driver

I download the XP driver from Dell driver download site. But there is no driver in the

zip file. I try to e-mail order support as Chris suggested to obtain the service tag so

that I can get help from tech support. My e-mail went to the black hole.

Does anyone know how I can get the XP driver for the ST2220t touch screen monitor?

My apologies, I just saw this in the ST2220T Manual:
* Support native Win7 multi-touch. (plug & play)
* Support single-touch (mouse behavior) in Vista. (Need to install touch screen driver. Please find the touch screen driver for Vista in the CD)
* Supports Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems only

* You double clicked the file
* It extracted to here C:\Dell\Drivers\R281165\
* Open the Device Manager
* Click the icon left of Monitors
* Double click the monitor listed
* Click the Driver tab
* Click the Update Driver button
* Click No, not at this time
* Click Next
* Dot Install from a list or specific location
* Click Next
* Click Don't search. I will choose the driver to install
* Click Next
* Click Have Disk
* Click Browse and navigate to C:\Dell\Drivers\R281165\
* Click the monitor inf file
* Click Open
* Click OK
* Click Next
* Click Finish

I installed the driver as Chris suggested. There are 3 drivers in the zip file, analog, digital and HDMI. I installed

both the analog and digital on 2 XP machines. I hooked up the vga and USB cables. The touch screen function did not work.

Do I need to do anything else to active the touch screen function.

Are you running the ST2220t in a dual monitor setup? If yes, the ST2220t must be the primary.

I do aware of the dual monitor issue. I installed the driver on a XP laptop and a XP desktop (only one monitor and one driver).

I also installed the vista driver on a vista machine and it works perfectly and that eliminate hardware problems.

Is any other thing I can try?

Hello,

I have a Dell PC with windows XP, is there a driver existing to get the Dell ST2220T monitor touch-screen to work?

If not, can you provide a solution to upgrade from XP to Win7 ?  ..or a software patch?

Thanks,

I'd also like to know if they plan on releasing a patch for XP.

Hello friends okay?

I have a serious problem. I bought 7 ST2220T DELL monitors to use with a computer with 8 video outputs, these videos are the screen extended Microsoft Windows 7. But when I click on any of the monitors "click" happens on the first monitor and not on the current monitor which I did touch.

Please help me.

Thank you.

This was DELL-Chris reply from other thread.

http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19442802.aspx

1. The Touch Screen functionality and Touch Screen Tools are designed to only work on the Primary monitor.

2. If you want to enable the touch screen functionality on the secondary monitor:
Set the secondary monitor as an extended display
Go to Start -Control Panel -Tablet PC Settings
Click Setup and follow the instructions on the screen

Do update here to tell if you got the 7 ST220T DELL monitors to work with Windows7.

We fought for a while to try and get the ST2220T to work on XP and were not sucessful.  After upgrading the machine to windows 7 it loaded right up no hassle.

I am also having the same problem, only I am using Windows 7. I have downloaded the driver as you stated here, but I still do not have full touch capabilities. Specifically I am trying to use Photoshop and when I use the brush, if I touch the screen, it assumes that I am pressing the spacebar (and thus panning instead of drawing). Photoshop representatives say that it is on the Dell driver side.

I originally had this problem in Illustrator but was able to adjust the pen settings in the control panel. It is possible I need to adjust them further or am missing something obvious.

I really really appreciate your help as I will have to return the product if I can't get this to work and I love everything else about the monitor. Thanks!
