Screen Broke by a ball

Hello,

I need advise. I have U2713HM monitor and after 3-4 months, my kid threw a plastic ball on the screen. It broke something inside, making black lines. I think I only have the Next Business Day Parts Delivery warranty.

I searched everywhere on youtube and google for some hints of what can be broke and be replaced. Somes said I can replace some layers of the screen, depends what is broken. The problem is when I did bring my monitor to a repair shop, He didn't want to look at it, just saying it was unrepairable (if this word exist lol) so no need to check, just trying to sell me a new one.

The problem is that I'm still paying for it until 2018, That makes me hard to decide if I really want to buy another one

I still can use it, but very difficult with 1 inch of black spot on the right, from the 2/3 of the screen...

Do you think I can repair it?

   Thanks for the anwer :)

Thank you for your message.

A monitor has no repairable parts in it & when there is something wrong the whole unit will be replaced if under warranty.

Unfortunately this is not covered under warranty as this is an accidental damage.

It may be difficult to source just the screen & having it repaired might be expensive.
