I would like to know the serial number of the monitor of my PC, but the
Win32_DesktopMonitor doesn't give this information.
Please help.

Chomie,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Look on the back of the monitor for the serial number.

I would like to do this remotely, not walking to every single p.c. in the company. With Windows XP you can run remote scripts with win32 classes. I can get information like the monitor type and name with Win32_DesktopMonitor classes, but I don't know the script to get the serial number. I'm sure dell must have the script for this.

Hi. I know of a program that can scan machines and get the monitor serial number. It's called NEWT Professional from KomodoDigital.com. They seem to only have a beta for this feature now, but they may let you try it. We've been using NEWT very successfully to get monitor serial numbers.
