System with Refurb Monitor - Warranty Q
If I buy a new Dell 3000 with extended 2 yr warranty and select a refurb LCD as monitor, does the 2 yr warranty cover the monitor?

According to the warranty information for refurbished monitors, the answer is no. New monitors carry a minimum 3 year warranty. If the system that it is purchased with has a longer warranty, then a new monitor carries the longer warranty.
A refurbished warranty has a 90 day warranty. There is no mention of it being warranted for longer than that if it is attached to a Dell system.
