Trinitron Monitor

I have a 19" Sony Trinintron Monitor about 3 years old. Recently the screen became blurry. I have connected another monitor to the computer and works fine so I think I can rule out the video card or driver. Dell chat recommended I re-install the driver but linked me to the wrong windows version. The screen became crisp again for about a week then blurry after I turned off the machine. Is this thing toast?

Thanks

I also tried the monitor on a laptop and had the same problem. I turned off the monitor when transferring it between the two computers. It is also blurry during the self test.

It's doesn't sound good. I'm about order a used triny myself. I guess I'll let you know how it goes. Do you use it for CAD?

Have you tried the monitor on a different computer? When you turned off the computer, did you turn off the monitor as well or did you just leave it in stand by?

You might get lucky and it just needs a new video cable or something, but I wouldn't sink too much $ into it. You can get used ones for under $150.
