U2414H, flickers

Hi

My U2414H after 2 weeks holiday does not work (flickers)

Flickers:
- In test mode (red, blue, green)
- Plugged in with HDMI, different HDMI, without HDMI (just power cord)
- Plugged in with a different, solo plug
- Connected via HDMI to a different laptop

Few months out of warranty. I left it in a (heated) house for 2 weeks while I was on vacation.

Can it be fixed?

Unfortunately, no. Dell does not repair monitors. So we could not know what component has failed.

Read this.

Try this =

* Disconnect every cable from the U2414H (including power cable)
* Press and hold the U2414H power button for 8 seconds
* Wait 10 minutes
* Reconnect only the power cable to the U2414H
* Run the stand alone U2414H Built-in Diagnostics (page 58). If the flicker happens during the Built-in Diagnostics, some internal component has failed

I have done as instructed - the same problem occurs when Built-in Diagnostics are run.

It was 6 months out of warranty when it failed :(

Any ideas on what could have failed internally?

Did you ever get a solution to this ? I've got the same issue with my monitor , been reading it might need a capacitor replacing (a simply soldering job). Did you get yours fixed?
