U2415, Dual, Daisy Chaining and Display Port Cable
Hi
I just got 2 U2415 monitors - which I'm trying to connect by daisy chaining them. I had bought a Display Port cable because I need it a bit longer (3 meter). When I use this cable the first monitor keeps turning on an off. I when tried to switch to the shorter cable which was in the box with the monitor - and that just worked?
Do I need a special cable when Daisy Chaining? The one I had bought was: http://www.clicktronic.com/en/products/displayport/
The shorter cable is connect to the mini display port in the monitor - where the longer was connect to the Display Port - can that make a difference?

Dell only tested our 6 foot cables. We have no idea if a 9 foot cable will work. I am confused as to how you are setting this up. Does the computer have DP out or mDP out?

The computer only has a DP port. The first monitor has DP 1.2 enabled and the second has it disabled (Intel HD 4600)

Since this works, the monitors are fine. The issue is the untested longer cable.
Computer DP out --> Dell U2415 DP to mDP cable --> #1 U2415 mDP in (DP 1.2 Enabled)
#1 U2415 DP out --> Dell U2415 DP to mDP cable --> #2 U2415 mDP in (DP 1.2 Disabled)

I bought a new 3 meter DP --> mDP cable which claimed to support Extended Desktop - and it works :-)
