U2415, Dual, Daisy chain DP1.2 issues
Connected dual monitors via DP1.2 using UltraAV mDP to DP cable with screens in extended mode. Result , both monitors flash black screens intermittently and randomly- either or both then eventually show only a black screen. Any solution available? Both monitors seem to have no problem operating in DP1.1 individually, so issue only arises when DP1.2 enabled and daisy chained. Had initially tried the DP cable which came with the monitors but changed to UltraAV to see if this would cure the problem ( it didn't). Monitors made in August 2014 Rev A00 serial numbers CN-74261-480-3TCL and 48S-130. PC Alien R3 desktop as built but replacement Dell m/b DP/N 046MHW. Graphics card R6870 2x mdp, 2x VGI and 1x HDMI ports.Windows 8.1. Monitors using recommended resolution and self test showed no problem. Monitors purchased via Amazon. Tried factory reset which disables DP1.2 but have to reinstate DP1.2 to daisy chain but same result.

Dear Chris,
After 5 days I finally got my replacement monitors, which is horrible for a "premium next business warranty". The replacement monitors work even worse than the previous ones. I got 2 x A00 and 1 x A01. Furthermore Dell support in Poland is extremely unpleasant and unwilling to help me. I have also emailed them, but got no reply at all. I am certain that Dell works much better in other countries.

eiver,
Our apologies that those replacements did not fix the issue. Did Dell Poland setup Used or New exchanges?
To all others,
Did any of you get the A02 via exchange? If yes, did it fix the issues?

I have two Dell U2415 monitors. They both work fine when NOT daisy chaining.
I purchased BRAND NEW highly rated DisplayPort cables, set everything up for daisy chaining as instructed by Dell, including making sure to disable DP 1.2 on the last monitor in the chain and the issue occurs intermittently. It can be every few minutes or once in an hour e.g.; then it works fine for weeks and then it starts acting up again every few minutes or so! The cables are tight / secure in their respective DP ports.
I have an i7-13700KF CPU and an Nvidia RTX3070Ti GPU and a hefty high quality PSU.
I am going to buy an HDMI cable for one of the 2 monitors and see what happens. Frustrating!

How to connect two monitors in a daisy chain using DisplayPort MST
To connect your personal computer to multiple monitors using DisplayPort MST:
To daisy chain more than two monitors, follow a similar sequence: The first monitor connects to the second, the second monitor connects to the third, and so on.
To learn more, see the User Manual of your monitor.
