U2415 Flickering issues
Setup:
3 x U2415 Rev A01, Dec 2014 build date. DP to Mini-DP daisy chained, 2 Monitors set to DP 1.2 enable, last monitor set to disable. Connected as R9 290 DP out to Mini DP in 1st monitor, DP out to Mini DP in second monitor, DP out second monitor to Mini DP in last monitor.
System Specs:
XFX R9 290X , 8GB, Intel 4690K, 32gb Ram, Asus MB, Samsung SSD, Windows 10 Pro. AMD driver 16.9.1
Factory reset done on all monitors. Cables swapped between monitors, placement of monitors in daisy chain swapped around to test functionality, cables swapped as well.
Support call resulted in diagnosis of primary monitor DP output failure, that screen is in RMA process. Dropped down to two monitors in daisy chain configuration and now am experiencing consistent screen on/off flicker, sometimes one, other times both. Reading the forums here says that Rev A01 is known for this issue and should be swapped for Rev A02.
What other troubleshooting can be done? System worked well until the failure this am of the first monitor but I am now concerned since reading here. Will swapping them fix this issue?

Update:
To stop the flickering I unchained the monitors, turned off DP 1.2 on both, attached one monitor via Dp to Mini DP cable, the other via HDMI and all flickering has stopped. RMA seems the only recourse.
