U2417H, Not turning on
I just bought a U2417H monitor, but when I tried to connect it to a laptop, I realized that the power led light on the monitor does not turn on nor does the monitor itself, after I connected it to a power source (which I check to be working fine). When I connected the HDMI cable, my laptop detects an external display, but there is still nothing on my monitor and the led power indicator is still not on.
No Events found!

I have tried this method, but nothing showed up.The display remains off and there is on light on the LED power indicator on the bottom.

I think you meant, "there is no light on the LED power indicator on the bottom.". If yes, was this purchased directly from Dell?

* Turn the computer and U2417H off
* Disconnect the U2417H from the computer
* Disconnect ALL cabling from the U2417H (Power, HDMI, DP, mDP, audio, USB)
* Press and hold in the U2417H power button for 10 seconds
* Connect ONLY the power cable to the U2417H
* Press the U2417H power button. Does anything appear onscreen like below?
