U2417H, no OSD menu, only shows Input Source menu, #2
I'm having this same issue. No luck trying this reset step. Every button brings up the Input Source. It does not recognize any input source. DP and HDMI from two different computers. Is this dead?
U2417H seems to have a whole host of control problems.
This original post and #2 post describes no OSD menu on the monitor while only the Input Source options appear when pressing any of the 4 function buttons on the monitor. Input Source also does not include USB option (only DP/mDP/HDMI) while the physical cable provided was a USB 3.0 cable.
Connecting the HDMI cable successfully, which is not provided in the package and listed as Optional in the User Guide, will now allow the function buttons to bring up the OSD menu (which still does not show any options relating to USB and this is consistent with the menu image in the User Guide).
Its like Dell completely forgot about the USB connections on the monitor... This post way back in 2017 concludes that the USB ports are not working.
