U2419HC, two laptops, sharing mouse and keyboard?
Hello all,
I'm confused about this monitor. Under which configuration does it enable to connect 2 laptops sharing the same mouse and keyboard? I never found a way to do it and I would rather not have to clutter my desktop with a kvm switch to do that. Is it feasible or not?

@Run0 Reading the U2419HC's manual on support.dell.com, there is no indication that it supports KVM functionality. That would require at least 2 "upstream" USB connectors to allow the keyboard and mouse to be available to at least 2 systems. The U2419HC's only upstream USB data path is its USB-C port. Compare this to some Dell ultrawide displays that have a USB-C port and 1-2 upstream USB-A upstream ports to allow attaching 2-3 systems.

@Run0 As I said, look at Dell's ultrawide displays, such as the P3421W, U3421WE, and U4919DW. If you want to display two systems side-by-side all the time, the best choice would be the U4919DW. The 34" displays use a 21:9 aspect ratio, but the U4919DW uses an even wider 32:9 aspect ratio, with a resolution of 5120x1440. That means that when showing two systems side-by-side, each system gets their own 16:9 aspect ratio image with 2560x1440 resolution, which is the typical resolution for a standard 27" display. But of course this display would be much larger and much more expensive than the U2419HC you were looking at.

Thanks for your answer.
Would you think of specific Dell monitors enabling to achieve the connection of 2 laptops sharing the same mouse and keyboard ?
