U2515H, Power button not working
Hi I bought a Dell U2515h about 8 days ago from PCbuyit (also known as Taran Microsystems). Since the day it arrived it had problems with the power button not always working. It didn't bother me too much having to press it a few times instead of once, however it's now completely stopped working that I can't even get the monitor to turn on. On top of that I also noticed that the bottom right corner bezel (i think thats what its called? ) that the buttons are on is coming loose so that might be causing it. I've contacted the retailer I bought it from today but waiting for a reply. Just wondering what Dell recommends should contact Dell for a replacement or the retailer I bought it from?
Thanks

They should offer you a full refund and then you should buy directly from Dell. At the least, they should offer you a like for like monitor exchange. Concerning buying from a reseller =
* We cannot guarantee that the reseller is shipping you a monitor that has not already been returned to them multiple times
* The monitor sits in their warehouse getting old. Before too long, they could have older revisions
* None of these resellers can provide a Dell Order number that states when they purchased the monitor from Dell. Without a Dell Order number, you cannot get through our web forms. This leads to all kinds of stress on you, the buyer

It came with a service tag, serial number,. express service code and there's also a Dell sticker on it that says it comes from France. It has a order no, account no, and other details.
I guess this is because I bought it from Taran Microsystems who are a Certified Dell Partner?
I know of people who have bought from places like Amazon and not had this come with theirs.

I think the EURO countries do put tags on them. We in the Americas do not. If you want Dell UK to exchange it, the service tag has to be transferred into your name before they can do anything.
