U2711, bottom menu button intermittently blinking, #3
malpighi22, thank you SO MUCH for this hint.
My monitor was also blinking, some actions from the bottom menu and even turning the padlock on (when you hold the button for a few seconds).
Read about this idea of the EMF, and figured that my internet router, which is glued to the wall and right below my monitor, was causing this interference. Whenever I put my hands over a specific area, the problem stopped. Resetting the internet router was enough to make it stop.

Great that you found a solution via the Forum. You stated, "Resetting the internet router was enough to make it stop.", does that mean you moved the router further away from the monitor?

Chris, resetting the router solved the problem. i've kept it in the same place, and, so far, it has not caused the same problem yet. when it happens again, i will try once more resetting the router before moving it, since it's in the best location for me to reset it whenever necessary
