U2713HM, macbook pro

I use my U2713HM Ultrasharp wit my Macbook Pro. I have had the monitor for about two months, and there has been no problems. Lately it suddenly crashes, the screen becomes black, and then it turns on again. I have tried to find a driver to Mac, or to update the monitor. Can anyone help me?

Hi HanneSch,

Please refer to the picture below for the menu button on Dell U2713HM Flat Panel Monitor. Move to ‘Other settings’ using the buttons on the monitor OSD and reset the monitor to factory settings.

Hi HanneSch,

Monitors are plug and play devices and usually doesn't require any driver. To check the functionality of the monitor, you may connect it to a different system (preferably Windows operating system) and check if you experience the same issue. Also, see if the monitor passes the Built-In Self Test.

Thank you for your answer. I'll try the self-test.

Many regards

Hi again.

I have now made the self test, and nothing seems to be wrong with the monitor. But I can't perform the last part of the test (Factory Reset), because my monitor do not have a Menu button.

Thanks. I was not aware that these options only are available, when the monitor is connected to the computer.
