U2715H - MST Question
I have an Asus laptop that has a HDMI output. Currently I am connecting it to my U2715H via HDMI. Is MST only for DP connections? If so could I use a HDMI to DP video cable, and connect my laptop to my U2715H via DP, then I could take the second DP connection on the U2715H and connect it to another monitor, effectively getting me MST?

That would not work. MST can only be used when the source (computer) has DP out or mDP out. See the Dell UltraSharp U2715H User's Guide, page 25.
