U2717D, HDMI, maximum supported resolution?
1. What is the max resolution supported for U2717D HDMI port? up to 1440P?
2. What the version of HDMI? 1.3a or 1.3b?

The HDMI port on the monitor is 1.4a and is capable of 2560x1440 60Hz. But, the video card has to support 1.4a to get that that resolution. From page 10 in the User's Guide =
