U2717D, Precision M6800, Flickers

Different monitor model but same issue as here. Running a Precision M6800 with an AMD Firepro M6100. Using displayport to display port. Issue also occurs using HDMI. It is an occasional flicker of the screen. A quick flash of white. I swapped the monitor under warranty but now I'm noticing it happen again. Prosupport has suggested replacing motherboard which I'm willing to try though not convinced it will help. Posting in hopes of finding an eventual explanation.
