After installing M2B102, for me, this made the colors between DisplayPort and HDMI comparable =

* Open the the Nvidia Control Panel -Display -Change resolution
* Change the Output dynamic range from Limited to Full
* Click Apply

Today I recieved my new DELL U2718Q monitor. The firmware-update corrects indeed the "gain on green" issue. Thank you for the fix.

I have not seen the update in action. Was it hard to perform? Could the instruction PDF been better? If yes, how?

For me it was impossible to update the firmware, i'm running a mac. Will there be a mac version in the future?

The update process was relatively painless, and I can confirm that it fixes the DP color issues.

The only snag I ran into was during initialization of the firmware update process. I had to power cycle my monitor and then restart the software for it to detect the monitor.

I was able to update the firmware without problems and everything happened perfectly. The colors are perfect now. After reading the manual, I had no doubt about the process, and everything happened as expected.

I knew Dell would not ignore us.

Thank you very much.

UXFEVER,

Unfortunately, the U2718Q was never validated by Dell for the Apple proprietary hardware, operating system, and drivers. When you go to the U2718Q driver page, you can see under "Operating system:", that only Windows 10/8.1/8/7 are validated. The U2718Q User's Guide also never mentions Apple or MAC. You will need to find a Windows system to run the firmware update.

Thank you Chris, I will try it that way,... it may not be validated for Apple Hardware,... it runs like a charm!

Hi Chris, I go and try to download the zip file but I could not find it.  Would you please advise?

Thanks, Wilson

Hello!
Currently the link in the first post seems to be broken, it leads to the first page of the Dell Community. It would be helpful if someone could put the zip file somewhere to download if possible?

Hi,

I'm having the same problem with the link as well. A new link or fixed link would be greatly appreciated!

Link leads to nowhere. Any response is appreciated.

While the link no longer directs to the forum main page, it instead gives an error indicating that I do not have permission to access the file :(
