U2718Q, audio screech

I understand the audio line out is not a headphone output. However I have been fighting for a year now that just as people describe, the audio out also has a bad high pitch "screech" when sending an audio signal to powered speakers. I have never tried to use the line out as a headphone output, but it sounds equally terrible as a line out to powered computer speakers. It sounds like a 16kb MP3. Compressed with a weird digital tear in the high end. You can change how the "tear" sounds by changing out bitrate settings on the monitor audio out, but it never completely fixes the audio tear. Has there been a fix released for this?

I just checked the U2718Q driver page and do not see any reference to a new firmware. I only see M2B102 dated 1/19/18. You need to post a video with audio allowing us to hear the issue.

The PC and operating system control the audio going through the U2718Q pass through. Can you replicate that noise when testing the U2718Q on a different PC?
