U2720Q, how I can check monitor life?
Hello everyone,
I want to buy a used Dell UltraSharp U2720Q monitor. But I would like to know how I can check if it's in good condition besides physical damage? How I can check monitor hour life? is there anything else I can see before buying one?

Contact the seller and see if they will provide to you the private Service Tag. Then enter the private Service Tag here to see when it shipped from Dell.
The U2720Q Menu does not show "hours used". That data is only listed in the internal FSM (Factory Service Menu) which is only to be used by the Dell Service Center.

You can get the backlight active hours from the DDM command-line on that model:
"ddm.exe /Console /Wait 1000 /GetMonitorActiveHours"

had a hard time finding out the backlight or monitor hour life, but if you would like more information on the computer you can look through the user's guide or ask for the service tag and can check the exact issues with the model
