U2722DE, adding external USB-C hub
I am trying to setup a work station that will can handle 2 laptops at a time using the KVM function of the U2722DE. The laptops used will be getting moved and switched out fairly frequently so I am trying to make the connecting / disconnecting process as simple as possible. I'm hoping it can be done by only having to plug in a single USB-C cord to each laptop, which can then be easily swapped for a different one.
What I'm hoping will work is:
Laptop 1 > 90W USB-C port on monitor
Laptop 2 > external USB-C hub > HDMI port on monitor + USB-A to C cord
The 90W USB-C port on the monitor will provide power and the ability to use the mouse & keyboard to laptop 1.
The USB-C hub will provide power to laptop 2, and the USB-A to C cord will allow it to use the mouse & keyboard plugged in to the monitor.
Is something like this possible, or would using the external USB-C hub cause problems?
I am also planning on daisy chaining the U2722DE to a U2722D, not sure if that will create any extra issues.
Thanks!
