hello,
My monitor says resolution 1920X1080 and there is no where in the monitor setup screen to change it to 2560X1080. I can change my Win 7 resolution to 2560X1080 but it makes everything blurry. The monitor still says 1920X1080 in setup menu. If I change the win 7 resolution to 1920X1080 everything looks great. but I have a 3" black band on both sides of the screen that I'm wasting. Seems to me I need to get the monitor to go to 2560X1080. Is this possible?

How is the computer video card attached to the U2913WM? I mean what ports, what cabling are you using? Locked at 1920x1080 sounds like you are using video card HDMI to monitor HDMI. List all the available ports on the computer video card.

I had it hooked up using the supplied DVI-D cable in the monitor box. Since I read your message I switched to a HDMI cable. Now everything is working perfectly.
I don't understand why all instructions are on a cd. and I can't find where it states a DVI-D cable won't work and why would that cable be in the box? Anyway it works and looks great now.

The monitor DVI-D port should do 2560x1080 but the computer video card needs to be able to push that resolution.
