U3219Q, KVM, switching input back and forth with hotkey

I have the U3219Q with the followup setup:

- PC connect via DP and USB upstream

- Laptop connect via USB Type-C only

I have the logitech wireless receiver plugged into the U3219Q for both my mouse and keyboard.

For the PC I have DDM installed and set a hotkey to switch input in the Input Manager

I can use the hotkey to go from PC to Laptop, but not back from Laptop to PC.

How can I use the hotkey to switch back and forth? Do I have to install DDM on the laptop? Not ideal because laptop is from work.
