U3419W, 2016 MacBook Pro, no display via USB Type-C
Hello,
I recently bought Dell U3419W display, and it works well with my Windows machine. My problem is a issue when using it with my Apple MacBook Pro.
When I connect U3419W with MacBook via USB Type-C to C cable provided with the U3419W, my MacBook detected the external display, but U3419W says "No USB Type-C signal from your device".
It seems that USB-PD and USB hub functions are working, only display is not working. While attaching the cable between display and MacBook, my MacBook endlessly on and off external display, so I cannot do anything but detaching the cable.
This problem seems to be similar to this, so I tried attaching another cable, but unfortunately it does not work. I bought a Thunderbolt 3 cable by Anker (AK-A8858011), which provides 100W PD, DP 1.2 (since it's Thunderbolt 3) and 40Gbps data transferring.
I'd like any troubleshooting for this issue, though Dell support may be unconcerned about Apple products.
Any comment is much appreciated.
Environment
- Dell U3419W (firmware version is M3B111. which seems to be latest)
- MacBook Pro (2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)

I'm sorry about this. I will have this checked with our Internal team if there are able to move the topic to the Monitor board.

Sorry, I posted this on New to Dell Community, but this topic should be on Monitors board. Can Dell community administrator move this topic to appropriate board?

Hi,
Thank you for your time and patience. Our internal team was able to move the topic to the monitor board.
With regards to the monitor unable to connect to the MAC system, I had this reviewed with our internal team, as the monitor works well with the Windows operating system, this indicates that the monitor is working fine. There seems to be no issue with the monitor hardware. As suggested our scope is limited for MAC operating system. Dell has not tested the monitor with the MAC OS operating system.
We recommend you to post your query on the Apple forum they will be able to best advise further on the settings and help you further.

Thank you for reviewing the issue with your internal team.
I just asked this on the Apple forum.
However, I have questions, Dell cannot do any inspection for it?
Can your team fix it via monitor's firmware update?
