U3818DW, firmware request, option disabling OD (OverDrive)

Several users have been complaining about aggressive OD (OverDrive) and ghosting on U3818DW screens. The U3818DW firmware does allow users to change the OD setting: Response Time can be set to either "Normal" or "Fast" in the OSD menu. But there is no way to turn off OD altogether.

Ghosting disappears when turning OD off in the FSM (Factory Service Menu). However, changes to FSM settings are not retained when the user turns off the screen and, in any case, it is not recommended to make changes to the FSM settings.

Moderators have proposed several steps to alleviate the ghosting problem but none of them are doing the trick (for example see the post of @Leolz)

It would therefore be great if a possibility to disable OD altogether could be included as an OSD menu feature in one of the next firmware updates.
