@GPN005  and @NZGeek2020  a similar question was asked in this thread.  The limiting factor does indeed seem to be weight.  Display size doesn't really matter unless you're looking at multi-display mounts, in which case the maximum achievable distance between the mounting arms would be a factor, since you wouldn't want to have your displays overlapping because you can't spread the mounting arms far enough apart.  But for single display mounts where a max display size is quoted, it will typically be based on assumptions about the typical weight of displays of that size -- but displays tend to get lighter over time.  The only case where size would be a "direct" factor in a single display mounting arm would be in terms of the maximum vertical height of the mounting arm, since obviously it will need to get high enough that the bottom of the display would still be above the desk surface.
