U4919DW, KVM, usage

Looking at buying one of these beasts, but it's unclear how the KVM functions. In short, if I connect two PC's to this monitor, can I switch back and forth between the two PC's, full screen. So, PC1 fills the entire screen (all 49" inches), then switch to PC2, and PC1's display goes away with PC2's filling the entire screen (all 49" inches)?

The online U4919DW User's Guide pages 38 and 39 show how to connect two PC's and using the USB Select Switch in the U4919DW Menu. Page 46 shows how to select the PC Input Source.Page 56 discusses Input Source and USB selection.

I am saying that it should work the way you want. Two PC's.

PC #1 HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U4919DW HDMI in port
PC #1 USB 3.0 --> U4919DW USB 3.0 cable --> U4919DW USB 3.0 upstream port
USB Selection = HDMI 1 USB 1

PC #2 USB Type-C out port --> USB Type-C to C cable --> U4919DW USB Type-C in port
-or-
PC #2 DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> U4919DW DP in port
USB Selection = DP USB Type-C

On page 65, the following is stated: "NOTE: KVM USB Switch function only work under PBP Mode". When I go dig into PBP Mode, it implies that one side of the monitor is one input, the other side is another input. The manual doesn't really specify this precisely, but the following two links seem to agree on it, Dell/Samsung. I find this is confusing, as this isn't how KVM's work, so there's a discrepancy between the industry standard of a KVM and this PBP restriction, combined with a lack of specific detail in the manual?

Agreed in the PBP mode, two different PC via two inputs on the U4919DW in a side by side PBP (Picture by Picture) mode. Just like you showed on the U3415W.

In your two full screen PC usage, KVM refers to the USB Selection matching the U4919DW video in port.

* Two PCs using two different U4919DW video in ports. Both full screen
* Press the Input Source button on the U4919DW to "switch" from video in port to video in port
* Go to USB Selection
* Choose the applicable video in port for the PC you want to use and the KVM will allow that PC to use the devices plugged into the USB downstream ports

PC #1 HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U4919DW HDMI in port
PC #1 USB 3.0 --> U4919DW USB 3.0 cable --> U4919DW USB 3.0 upstream port
USB Selection = HDMI 1 USB 1

PC #2 USB Type-C out port --> USB Type-C to C cable --> U4919DW USB Type-C in port
PC #2 DP out port --> DP to DP cable --> U4919DW DP in port
USB Selection = DP USB Type-C

I apologize, but I'm not quite following you. Are you saying that you can or cannot use the KVM functionality in my two-full screen scenario?
