I am searching here because of the same problem.  The self test and computer display sometimes appears but not always.  Usually its just the "white screen of death." There are no loose solderings that I can see or any blown transistors/circuitry.

Hi. I've seen this a couple of times on displays that have both analog and digital inputs. Once in awhile they come up on the wrong Sync, and to cure it takes just pushing the leftmost button (Input Select) to make it  switch. If this doesn't work, get on the horn w/tech support.

Well, the fact that you get a white screen says that power is being delivered, the backlight is coming on, but no signals are getting to the LCDisplay pixels. So I might investigate my video card or other source of lack of signal. Once my browser froze up and everything, piece by piece became white as I tried to get it back. Took resetting the brains of the computer chipset to fix that (Restart). I hope you find a simple solution. Good luck

Thanks for the info.  My monitor does not have both analog and digital inputs - only analog, so this isn't the issue.
