No you're not looking in the wrong place. Monitors do not have service tags. If your monitor was ordered alone, your order number is the identifying number. If it came with a computer, you use the computer's tag.

Service Tag numbers are only on the 27" and above monitors. If you ever need service, use the monitor order number and contact Customer Service.
