XPS 13, D3100 dock, 2209WA blurry/fuzzy fonts

I currently have the following setup:

Laptop = XPS 13
OS = Windows 10 Home
Graphics Card = Intel HD Graphics 5500
Dock = Dell 3100
Monitor = 2209WA (DVI-D)

The monitor is connected to the DisplayLink (DVI-D --> HDMI) and the images and fonts are horrible. Does anyone have any options/suggestions to fix this problem?

Thanks

Read through the D3100 User's Guide and Quick Setup Guide.

* Disconnect everything from the laptop and D3100
* Disconnect the power from the D3100
* Restart the laptop
* Download/install the D3100 driver
* Restart the laptop when done
* Plug the power into the wall outlet and the other end into the D3100 power in port
* Connect the supplied USB 3.0 I/O cable to the D3100 USB in port. The other end connect to a blue USB 3.0 port on the latop
* Restart the laptop when done
* Connect the 2209WA in this way =
D3100 HDMI out port --> HDMI to DVI adapter --> DVI to DVI cable --> 2209WA DVI in port
* Turn the 2209WA on
* Press the 2209WA Input Source Select button and choose DVI
* Windows should show the 2209WA using 1680x1050 60Hz

If the DisplayLink driver cannot install, this is why the images and fonts are horrible. As to why it cannot install, no idea. Did you right click the driver (Dock_DL_Win_A00_Setup-V1P47_ZPE.exe), then click "Run as administrator" ?
