Yellow Flickering/Flicker screen display
My screen keeps on flickering yellow and I see i'm not the only one that has had this problem. I have tried everything I could.
- Went through tech support when the screen went permanently yellow and eventually got a new monitor. The problem came back again.
-Reinstalled display drivers
- Changed the refresh rate and other settings
- went through Dell display diagnostics and nothing showed up as wrong
- Uninstalled all video editing software I had on just in case I had a conflict
- tested the monitor and degaussed and all that
- Went back to tech support who told me I should system restore. Looked at this and only have a restore point to last July and this problem has been happening for months before since I got the PC
Looked on as many forums as I could think of.
It's still happening. A flicker particularly visible on white backgrounds/windows. Sometimes stays for a while. Can go if I start-up.
Can anyone help. I'm stumped

I've searched the forum and found some info on this so I'll try it (not too hopeful being honest though)

I'm not sure if mine was a similar problem with my brand new Dimension 5150, as it had a yellow tint to all of the screen which would come and go.
Just changed the video cable to a Belkin gold one and this has solved it.
Mine is a 1704FPT 17" TFT, so not sure if this will work on CRT's as well. Also depends if the cable is captive as to whether you can change it.
