convex screen
I've had a Dell computer and monitor for nearly 2 years. Last month I had to have my computer wiped clean of virus, etc and when it was returned, my monitor screen looked like a 50s style TV with bulging sides and the picture doesn't fill the entire monitor. I cannot find any way to fix this. I thought I'd kept everything when I got my computer, but the monitor manual seems to be lost. I see the buttons on the bottom of the monitor but can't get them to do much. This shape is annoying the heck out of me. HELP HELP
Thanks

gardenersal,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
What monitor do you have that is having the issue? Did you reinstall the video card drivers back into the system?

I have the standard 17" monitor that came with my computer.
I have no idea what cards were or were not reinstalled. I don't mean to be vague, but I really have no idea about this stuff.

gardenersal,
Look on the front or back of the monitor to information on which 17" monitor you have connected to the system. I need this information in order to post some troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem.

gardenersal,
Click the link below to view the online manual. It will show you how to use the controls to resolve the issue that you are having with the monitor.
