dent in screen

I got a dent in my screen, and originally when this happened, there were no dead pixels, however somehow after a little whiles use, there's now a cluster of dead pixels. Am I able to get this replaced? I also had about 3-5 dead pixels before this but just let them go. Is there anything I can do to get this fixed? If it's not covered udner warranty, can I send it somewhere to get it fixed? Hopefully that wouldn't cost too much.

My opinion only......

If you, and not Dell, put the dent in the screen, than you are probably out of luck.  If you have some replacement insurance from your insurance company or bought the Dell Accidental Damage Insurance, than Dell will not replace it.   If its defective from the date of delivery, you had 21 days to have it replaced.  Beyond the 21 days, the normal warranty kicks in, but Dells stuck pixel policy is between 1 and 5.  More than that and Dell will send you a refurbished monitor.  But, you already committed yourself in the above post you made....

You said in your post that prior to the dent, there were no dead pixels.  Later in your post you said there were 3 to 5 dead pixels before.  Which is it  ?  Dell now has this post, so I believe you are out of luck.  No way to fix the dead pixels unless you get lucky, and gently rub the dead pixels to see if they return to normal... Some have tried this and worked, but others tried and failed.....

i concur, if you caused the damage, then it probably won't be covered by Dell. maybe Dell will help you out if you call them.

are you sure they're dead pixels or stuck pixels? dead pixels cannot be fixed, they're dead. stuck pixels can be fixed by flashing the screen with multiple colors or rubbing the area gently.
