monitor - connecting to dish network - audio problems/need help
Hello Dell community -
So I have the dell 2407 24-inch monitor (2407WFP) just collecting dust in my closet. I tossed my old tv and want to use this monitor as the spare room tv. That said, I connected the yellow cable from the dish network connection to the composite slot onto the monitor. The cable video then comes in fine (composite). However, I can't seem to figure out how to connect audio as the monitor is NOT connected to a computer. I have the dell soundbar that connects to the monitor, but I cannot figure out how to connect the audiojack to anything as the dish network box does not have this plug option.
How can I connect audio to this monitor without having to use a computer? Any ideas?
Much appreciated and thanks for any help!

You should reconsider your choice of video connection, as well. You'll not get the best from a composite video connection. If the dish TV box has different video output options (dvi, component, vga, etc), you might give those a try. Specifically, that yellow composite connection is going to be limited to 480i only.
