same problem
I can access the computer remotely when the monitor is asleep and remotely control the desktop so I know the pc is responsive and behaving normally.

I cannot figure out why you posted? What specific monitor issues? What specific monitor model? What specific computer model? Operating system? List the issues and troubleshooting you have performed.
