sx2210T Touchscreen Monitor intermittenly hangs computer

I have a Gateway desktop computer (DX4200-09) with an AMD Phenom X4 9100e cpu and an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Integrated Graphics video card, running Windows 7 Ultimate 64. I connected the sx2210T monitor to my computer and installed the touchscreen drivers, webcam drivers and face recognition software. Everything seemed to work fine. I left the computer on over night and the next morning the computer screen seemed to be frozen and there were errors on the screen. I had to hard reboot the computer and then everything seemed to be fine. Then it happened again, and again, and again. My question: Is the ATI Radeon HD 3200 Integrated Graphics compatible with this Monitor and driver? I am using the VGA connection to the monitor because that is the only input available on this computer.

So after running Norton, there were alot of viruses found and fixed, but still the computer would hang. Finally I disconnected the external USB Hard drive that I had plugged into the monitor, and now there have been no more hangs. I suspect that the virus software, Norton or Microsoft Security Essentials may have been trying to scan the hard drive when the monitor went to sleep, and that caused the computer to hang. Either that or there is a problem with the external hard drive. Now the monitor is working great. I am very relieved.

Please post the errors. The monitor USB upstream cable must be connected to a USB port on the rear of the PC.

Chris, thanks for your response. Since I wrote this post, the computer has not crashed again. The errors I was getting were sort of random, but I saw Roxio errors quite often. I was not sure if the errors I saw were the cause of the crash or an effect of the crash. I also disabled the Microsoft Automatic Updates, just in case something being updated overnight was causing the crash. Even though the computer has not crashed again, twice now I have seen wierd things after leaving the computer on overnight. Things like the task bar being moved from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen. Internet Explorer windows left open were zoomed way in. Widgets on the desktop moved around. So now I think I may have a virus, but the Microsoft Virus scanner didn't find anything. I am going to install Norton and see if it finds anything. Meanwhile I have removed the Roxio Software that was installed to see if that will resolve anything. I will post back after I run the Norton.
