42751:nsrndmp_save: Tape server halted: Non-recoverable tape media error
Hi All,
not able take ndmp backup (From VNX 5200 Unified)and failed with following errors, i am using EMC networker ver 8.2.1.0 build 681.

There was a write error and backup was stopped.

Hi,
A couple of questions.
is it new configuration or backup was working fine?
share the client property information- and the same from VNX side for max parallelism setting.
Number of tape drives using for NDMP backups.

Hi Nitesh,
It was old config and worked well, with 3 drives (4 drive TL, one drive has some physical probelm so we disabled).
max parallelism is 32 (default).
Client App property Info:
HIST=y
DIRECT=y
EXTRACT_ACL=y
UPDATE=y

Hi,
Just for a test, change the client parallelism to 3, 1 parallelism on each tape drive and run a backup,
Run a backup and let us know the output.
share the logs from VNX side.

Hi,
We identified the issue in our fiber switch and we have directly connected our Tape Library to our NAS storage. Now our EMC Networker is backing up the NDMP data without any failure.
