Does NMC (Networker Management Console) get involved by any means in 'nsrim' process for ddboost devices?
Does NMC (Networker Management Console) get involved by any means in 'nsrim' process for ddboost devices?
Can communication issue between NMC and DD cause the problem for nsrim?

I don't the issue you are facing but nsrim is the internal file index cleanup utility - a program that runs from the command line (in the background). It does that periodically. It must do that even if the GUI is not opened.
Consequently NMC is not involved at all.

NMC is just front-end GUI. It is not related to nsrim communication with DD.
