Error backing up Exchange 2007 using NME

Hi Guys,

I am running a 7.5.4 version of EMC Networker on Windows 2003 and am backing up with NME 5.1 an Exchange 2003 infostore ( on Win 2003 cluster server, named xmcl).

The customer claims that he did not do any modifications on the Exchange server, but all of a sudden I am receiving the following error :

xmcl:MSEXCH:IS savegrp: suppressed 13 lines of output.

* xmcl:MSEXCH:IS   The operation completed successfully.
* xmcl:MSEXCH:IS 46757:nsrxchsv:Processing storage group "Users"
* xmcl:MSEXCH:IS 52663:nsrxchsv:HrESEBackupSetup: Backup is already active.

The save set is MSEXCH:IS and backup command is nsrxchsv.exe -a xmcl -G, and I have also have the system@node1 and system@node2 in remote access.

I've also invesitgated the applogs on the server, but only get the following in nsrxchsv.raw :

Hi Bogdan,

I suspect that the problem is either the schedule of the backups (overlapping of 2 group runs at the same time) or either the process nsrexchsv.exe is still running or hanging when you run the group again.

Please do as follows:

1.- Log into the Exchange server and open task manager. If the backup is not running, but you find any nsrexchsv.exe please manually terminate the process.

2.- Run a new backup.

If this fails then please ask customer if there is any new MB recently created. There is a known issue, at least with previous versions where if a new MB is created but the user didn't yet log in to the MB or didn't send any e-mail backup fails with that error message (HResult: -939523591 (0xc80001f9)).

Thank you.

Carlos.

Do not Run Replication Manager backups (or any other software to back up Exchange) at the same time as Networker Exchange Module backups, Else, you have to kill the nsrexchsv.exe process manually as mentioned by CarlosRojas.
