How do you capture failed backups in NetWorker
Hi.
I'm curious about failed backups reporting in NetWorker, since it's possible to do it more than just one or two ways.
How do you do it? and are you happy with it?

Hello Johannes
In networker version 7.4.x and above you can use the NMC reporting tool as well as the command line "mminfo" to pull different report.

Hi joka,
Networker is the best Backup & Recovery tool, to capture the failed backups.
1. Right click on Group & click on gorup details and findout failure clients with error message. successful client, running clients. waiting to run clients also you can find out.
2. NMC will support good later versions after 7.3.1
3. use mminfo command to check the individual save sets details
and also check networker flags in the admin guide for more details.
Thanks.

You can use NMC for tracking your unsuccesful backups or the messages log file.
Also you can create a new notification or change the existing one "savegroup completion" to send you an email when a group is success or unsucces.
Please let us know whether you need more info regarding notifications
Thanks
