Is anyone using the NetWorker 9 virtual edition?
Hi,
We are installing a new Networker 9 environment and are considering using the NWVE instead of the standard widows VM.
I would be interested to know if many people have deployed this solution and if they have experienced any issues.
Any gotcha's or general feedback on this product would be most appreciated.

Yes many of our customers are using the Virtual Edition of NetWorker 9.0 and have not seen any issues related to it. Only difference is that it is installed on LINUX.

I used to use it but decided that is easier for me to maintain the Installation on a Windows Server System. I ran into issues reagrding the licensing of the server with the EMC Licensing Server that did not work as mentioned in the documentation - but runs immediatly using Windows Systems.
And there is a NW 9.0.0.5 Patch that solves some issues with the NMC Monitoring Tabs that arent available for the NVE at the moment (but will be soon).
In my opinion Networker on Windows / Linux / etc. is easier that Networker VE
