Networker Reporting Utility V6.0 !

Question

From USA to Australia via Europe, lot of you daily enjoy Networker Reporting Utility.   Today, I am happy and proud to announce you ... ... ...     that Networker Reporter V6 is just born !!!!!    Delayed for family reasons, I finally found time to bring it to life.   Kits are ready for Windows, Solaris and Linux in zip and/or msi format. Doc is also ready.   You could get access to the kits from :   https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=14190B6B5B8ECCD5!130   If you want to give it a try or test before upgrading prod, choose the zip kit, unzip in a temp dir and copy the config and history folders from your production's Networker Reporting Utility file store to temp's data\ directory  For linux users, please use 'unset LANG' before calling Networker Reporting Utility binaries. Hi Thierry, What about HPUX server?  Or does one need to install it on W/L/S and do queries over LAN to server then?

I uploaded an hpux version. Can you please test it as I haven’t any hpux server to do it.

To answer your question, you can run reporter from workstation,server or storage node,

from any os you want, even different the one the networker server does run on.

Hi ThierryF In KPI report on page 38, if there are any failures, are they viewable ie list failed save sets in more granular?Cheers

Sure : opening active client detail folder, you will find a failed saveset overview, a report listing per date, per client and per saveset, all backup attempts that failed. HTH TH

hi

i am new to this utility , i am having trouble runnig this utility . not sure where i am going wrong.

I am trying this product on windows environment.

I downloaded the NRU500WIN-20090721_v4 from the skydrive link .

I installed the msi in windows 2003 server . The server has networker client installed.

The software was installed in "C:\NRU500" folder. The folder contains are bin and data , under bin following file and folder installed.

C:\NRU500\bin>dir
Volume in drive C has no label.
Volume Serial Number is 7C8D-302A

I modified the Version.dat ( OEM version exception configuration file ) with the version of networker running in our environment.

Now how do i run this reporting software . i cant find the web interface .
