Onscreen Notification

We have a user that in the past was set up to recieve notifications on screen something like this:

Shrimp:operator:/usr/users/operator# Jul 15 09:05:52 shrimp daemon:notice root: NetWorker savegroup: (info) starting larry (with 1 client(s))

This is at the UNIX command line.

It reports everything to this user and the user no longer needs this, so how do I stop it?

Thanks

I expect you have a notification set up to use the msg command or something similar when a savegroup starts - go to Configuration > Notifications and look for the relevant notification. Rather than check each one individually go to View > Choose columns and select them all then you can sort them - this is probably on a Savegroup event so you can sort that column and check the corresponding Action column for the relevant command

That wasn't the case everything there was mailed or printed.

I think I found it though, the syslog.conf has these in it:

daemon.notice /dev/console
daemon.notice /nsr/logs/messages
daemon.notice operator
local0.notice /nsr/logs/summary
local0.alert root, operator

I will just remove all references to operator and see if that does it
