Performance degradation with NW 8.0.1

Hallo,

we have performance degradation after update of our NW server from 7.6.3.6 to 8.0.1 Linux.

Some (not all) client have only half performance.

We see in the logs errors like: nsrexecd SSL critical Unable to complete SSL handshake with host

I didn't find an explanation for this error. It has nothing to do with conflicting peer information.

Any explanation of this error?

Could it be the reason why performance is worse?

regards

Bernd

Which build are you running?  I assume your clients were upgraded too?

I this by any chance running on VMware.

I had a problem with speed on VADP backup in a VMware enviroment. It was because of TCPACK.

I had to create an entry in registry on VMware Windows Networker Server and set TCPACK to 1. The speed increased ten times.

You might want to check that or try setting the TCPACK.

Did you run the Networker Procedure Generator for this? There is some TCP tuning mentioned there.

Another thing There is some TCP tuning recomended in the Technical Guidance to Upgrading v.8.

Check the Performance Optimization Planning Guide.

It tells you how much cpu and memory you actually need. Netowrk is also in there.
