Redirected recover going thru Lan
Hi All,
We are tying to do redirected restore, but the data is flowing thru Lan instead of SAN. Prod server is Solaris 10 configured as NW Storage Node 7.6.2 & NMO, the development server where we are trying to restore prod backups is also Solaris 10 configured as NW Storage Node 7.6.2 & NMO 5.2. Our networker server is Solaris 10 with NW7.6.2 with DD670 as VTL.
When the restore is started the data is going thru lan device (/dev/rmtxx) from development client and not on SAN (rd=xxx.xx.com/dev/rmtxx). Tried all configuration changes as per Admin guide still it goes thru Lan.
All inputs and suggestions highly appreciated.
Regards,
Samir

On the prod client properties added dev.. client details for recover storage node details. Added host entries of prod on dev client /etc/hosts.

recover storage node setting under client has no impact - it is the one under storage node client that is used for prod that should be adjusted.

Nope, you need to put that under client of storage node which is used by prod client. Placing it under client won't have any effect.

I put in dev.. client name under SN and Recover SN on Prod client properties, still the restore is going thru /dev/rmt.... devices.
