I need to backup sysbase database with nmda module. I have documentation about this but actually i dont have much time to read all of them . So i need a example sybase config. I create a service case for this and support just gives me the documentation and said that create client object manually not with wizard. Now i need to know paramaters and usages of them. If you have example for this please share me. I have sysbase env. informations but dont know how to create it manually.

I don't have Sybase in my environment but here is what i understand.

Configuration file :

• UNIX or Linux:

/nsr/apps/config/original_nsrsyb_script_name.cfg

• Windows:

NetWorker_install_dir\apps\config\original_nsrsyb_script_name.cfg

The original NMS script is unchanged.

Make a copy of the script

Backup Command :

nsrdasv -T sybase –z config_file_with_path

the below listed parameters should be assigned the appropriate values in the config file

• LD_LIBRARY_PATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64 or LIBPATH(for specific operating systems)

• PATH (specific cases only)

• SYBASE

• SYBASE_USER

• USER_PSWD (when Sybase server has a password - this has to be set using nsrdaadmin -P -z configuration_file_path)

saveset : SYBASE:/ASE_server_name

Hope this helps.
